Quite frankly, Illumination does deserve it - they are 3 for 3 now (Rise of Gru, Puss in Boots and now Mario), which amazes me.

All Disney can do now is announce more live actions remakes of animated classics no one asked for (much less receptive to) or ruined Star Wars even more for the 12th time. They have indeed lost their magic touch and after their poor performance last year (except for Avatar2) I think they are heading for a repeat of the bad era they went through with the Animated Sequels with more ill conceive projects or bring characters that can only open a gangrene infested wound - like Wild Monkeys, flinging shit all over the place, seeing what will stick.

And that era will likely start with both Little Mermaid and Indy5 this year if they bomb.

Bought the four J.M Lee Dark Crystal Books series (Shadows, Song, Tides and Flames of The Dark Crystal) - took me a while to start readying them because they all came in disorder (2,3,4 and 1, and also Barnes and Nobles f**ked the sending orders) but started to read them a coupe of weeks a go, and I'm about to finish the 3rd.

When I get enthralled, I see the puppets and costumes playing in my head.

I which the series had been the Books, and mind you, I love TDC:AoR, but the books feel superb.
